The Frame

What is in frame today across photography and film. Thirteen newsrooms publish non-stop, and mostly the same thing: in a normal harvest, twenty-five of every hundred and twenty items that land here are a repeated story. One camera announcement can show up thirteen times in an afternoon, six from the same outlet.

So this is not an RSS reader. Every hour the sources are pulled, items covering the same product are grouped — matching brand against model number, not headline similarity — and classified by subject: cameras, lenses, AI, lighting, audio, post, business, craft, work and industry.

What survives is ranked by real weight: how recent it is, how many newsrooms covered it, whether it carries an image. The day's story on top; the full strip below. Everything reads right here — nothing takes you off the site until you want the source.

Checked weekly

Fourteen watched prizes plus whatever the press announces. Where it shows a number of days, the deadline is confirmed — read from the call itself. Where it shows a month, that is the prize's usual cycle: good for planning the year, not for relying on.

Why there are not more confirmed deadlines: contest aggregators block automated access, and the big prizes render their date in JavaScript or inside an image. Of twelve sites tested, only one publishes the deadline in a readable format. Rather than invent a date, the page says it does not have one.
